Where to find all 4 Medallion Shards in Bayonetta 3

Do NOT eat the magical blue flowers... or the rubble.

While Bayonetta games are well-known for their flashy graphics and boss fights, Bayonetta 3 also holds plenty of secrets for players to uncover. Figuring out the best ways to farm Halo requires uncovering a secret area and a secret minigame, which is standard for other secrets. However, players who have stumbled across a Medallion Shard or two may wonder what they do and if there are others.

All 4 Medallion Shards in Bayonetta 3

First, you must find 4 Medallion Shards for any of them to be useful. Each is found in a separate section of the game hidden down obscure paths:

  • Medallion Shard 1: The first Medallion Shard is located in Chapter 1. Before finding it, you'll need to find and take down the Cavum enemies within the Chapter. Near the area where the Cavums are located, there will be a broken arch. There will be an area where you can jump down to the right of the arch. Head there and find the broken pillar while following the stone steps. From here, you should see some light blue, glowing flowers. Head towards these and jump down to the ledge behind them. Here you will find more flowers and a pile of rubble. Break the rubble to acquire the first Shard.
  • Medallion Shard 2: For the next Shard, head to Chapter 4 and find the broken bridge. Head across it, then head left and climb the rocks. Once you have scaled the rocks, jump to the right and grab onto the ledges. Scale the ledges until you reach the top to find more flowers and another rubble containing the second Shard.
  • Medallion Shard 3: Shard number three is located within Chapter 7 within the Chapter's cavern area. Head into the cavern until you reach the portal, then head right. Eventually, you will reach a ledge that you need to jump to. There should be a large sealed door and another pile of rubble to break. Break it open and claim Shard number three.
  • Medallion Shard 4: The final piece of the Shard puzzle is located towards the very beginning of Chapter 10. Follow the standard path until you reach Verse 2. Complete the verse, then head to the right towards the noticeable broken tower. Attack the tower's door, which should eventually break apart, revealing a secret area. Within, the final Shard can be obtained.

What to do with the Medallion Shards in Bayonetta 3

Now that you have acquired the Medallion Shards, they should have automatically fused into the Blue Medallion item. Not only that, but upon visiting the Chapter Select menu, players will notice that a new level has been unlocked. This secret level allows players to take on Bayonetta 3's version of the Golem, the main boss from both Bayonetta 1 and 2. Players can fight the Golem immediately, but you must beat the game first so that you are strong going into the fight. The Golem is no pushover, sweeping the area with punishing area attacks, so be ready!
