While Bayonetta has been the primary protagonist of the Bayonetta series, a colorful cast of characters assists or stands in her way. One fan-favorite character that returns in Bayonetta 3 is Jeanne. While you control her in select spy missions, you can also unlock her as a fully playable character. This may leave you wondering how to unlock Jeanne in Bayonetta 3.
How to play as Jeanne in Bayonetta 3
You must first beat the game on any difficulty to unlock Jeanne outside her spy missions in Bayonetta 3. Once you have done this, you can select Jeanne and play through the story as her. This lets you play through the main story as Jeanne, Bayonetta's childhood friend and rival.

Previous Bayonetta titles allowed you to unlock Jeanne as well. In the first Bayonetta, you had to achieve a platinum rank on all chapters or use the cheat phone station. To unlock Jeanne in Bayonetta 2, you had to beat the story mode on normal or use the cheat door. We have yet to discover if there is a cheat input to unlock Jeanne in Bayonetta 3.
The gameplay will largely be the same when playing as Jeanne, but some differences warrant a second playthrough as her. Once you have unlocked Jeanne, select her on the character selection screen and dive back into the story.
