Tokyo Game Show is a cornerstone of the gaming world, with many titles being revealed and updates being shown. One such hotly anticipated title is Final Fantasy XVI.

In a Twitter Post by the highly touted Nibel, Square Enix has doubled down on their commitment to having Final Fantasy XVI coming in the Summer of 2023. The news comes via a pamphlet handed out during Tokyo Game Show 2022.

Final Fantasy XVI is being developed under the watchful eye of acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV Director Yoshi P. After reviving the troubled MMORPG into a worldwide phenomenon that has only improved with each expansion. Many expect great things from the next installment in the Final Fantasy Franchise.

Despite being a platform exclusive to PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy XVI is sure to be a huge driver of players to the platform. Much like the PlayStation 4, Sony is building a carefully curated list of titles to woo fans to the PS5. While console wars are never fun, especially when it's still hard to get ahold of the console in question, it's hard to stay neutral when Sony is nabbing titles like this.
