In the 0.5.209 update of Vampire Survivors, developer Poncle has added a powerful new save data recovery system. This new system allows you to load backups, see older autosaves of your games, and recover save data from an older system.
This save data recovery system is especially useful for Linux and Mac users, as older versions of the save data were discontinued earlier this month. As a result, players can now recover older save data and backup their saves.

How to use Data Recovery in Vampire Survivors
To use the Data Recovery system in Vampire Survivors, load up the game and head to the Options menu. In a red box in the bottom-right corner is a button labeled Data Recovery. You’ll have to click it twice, as it needs to confirm you’re certain you want to use this tool. In the Data Recovery menu, you’ll have the option to load data from the last run, show the local backups, or load old system data.
Bear in mind that this is a permanent change unless you’ve backed up your current save data. Additionally, Poncle has stated that Windows users stand a chance of corrupting their save data if they use data from a save that's too old. As a result, its only best for Mac or Linux users to use this tool to recover their old save data.
