Genshin Impact features a character-driven ensemble story. It's only natural that fans want to know more about those characters. Just how old are they? Unfortunately, the answer is not always clear. HoYoverse does not give the birth year when it releases character birthdays, so our estimates are based on context from the game's lore and character design.

• Dottore: Lore enthusiasts have pegged him to be one of the older Harbingers, at least 100 years old. If leaks are to be believed, he has somehow created different versions of himself at different ages, which may be true given the differences between the Dottore of the official Manga and the Dottore in "A Winter Night's Lazzo" promotional video. 
• Qiqi: She appears to be about 10 years old, but is not technically alive anymore. She nearly died over 100 years ago and has been avoiding the other side ever since.
• Baizhu: While he appears to be in the 21 to 30-year-old range, he is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy, and has been dabbaling in methods meant to extend his mortality, so he may be much older than first appears.
• Albedo: Unclear. While he looks between 17 to 20 years old, he is a homunculus, a creation of the alchemist Rhinedottir. It's unclear when he was created, but it's likely to have been after the Cataclysm. We also don't know if he ages the same way humans do.
• Faruzan: She looks under 21 but she is a distinguished scholar who has been alive for over 100 years.
• Scaramouche: Scaramouche is actually a puppet created by Raiden Ei at an undefined time. He was created and then discarded by Raiden Ei in favor of creating another puppet. He is approximately 100 years old or more.
• Dainsleif: He appears to be around 30 years old but was alive during the Cataclysm 500 years ago.
• Yae Miko: A Kitsune and long-time friend of Raiden Ei. She was alive for the events of the Cataclysm, so she is at least 500 years old.
• Yanfei: She's half illuminated beast but is noted to have been born in a time of peace, so after the Archon War, but it's not clear how old she is. Appears to be in the 15 to 20-year-old range.
• Ganyu: She appears to be in her early twenties but is thousands of years old. She is a half-qilin who signed a contract and fought alongside Rex Lapis in the Archon War 2,000 years ago.
• Xiao: An Adeptus and member of the Yakshas. He's old enough to have fought in the Archon War for Rex Lapis 2,000 years ago.
• Raiden/Venti/Zhongli: All are Archons who fought in the war 2,000 years ago. Zhongli is suggested to be much older than that, but it is unclear how much older.
• Nahida: Nahida was 500 years old. But after the changes to Irminsul in the main story, everyone in Teyvat now believes she is Sumeru's original Archon, and would be just as old as the others. At least 2,000 years old. If everyone believes it, it must be true, right?
• Kirara: She appears to be in her late teens, but being a youkai, there's a possibility for her to be much older than she appears.
• The Traveler: Enough jokes are made about the main character not being old enough to drink that they must appear to be 15 to 17 years old. They're not from Teyvat, so no one knows how old they may actually be.
• Paimon: Is just Paimon. Why do you ask?

Why is it difficult to tell how old the characters are in Genshin Impact?

HoYoverse has not confirmed the ages of most of the characters in Genshin Impact, likely because there's a God of Time and time-bending places like The Chasm involved in this story. Official ages could reveal more of the story than they would like or cause contradictions. There's enough context to make reasonable guesses, but we can also reasonably guess that Genshin Impact's story will be full of twists and turns and isn't even halfway told. What we know to be true now might not always be.
