How to get Leafeon in Pokémon Go

The perfect Pokémon to celebrate summer!

Pokémon Go is having its Sustainability Week 2022 celebration starting Wednesday, April 20, 2022. This event heavily emphasizes Grass-type Pokémon, which means this is the perfect time to grab a Leafeon, Eevee's Grass-type evolution. Leafeon is one of the better Grass-type Pokémon in the game so players should definitely grab this evolution when the opportunity arises.

Where to find Leafeon in Pokémon Go

Leafeon, along with a few other Eevee evolutions, can be obtained in a few different ways. There is the traditional way, explained in the Pokémon's evolution screen, and then a way that is more secretive.

Evolving an Eevee using a Mossy Lure

Players can evolve Eevee into Leafeon using the traditional method by using a Mossy Lure. Mossy Lures are items that can be purchased in the in-game shop and then used at a Poké Stop to attract many different Grass-type Pokémon that would otherwise be hard to come by. Along with attracting rare Pokémon, being in the vicinity of a Mossy Lure also allows players to evolve their Eevee into Leafeon. Players still need to have the 25 Eevee Candies required to make the evolution, but standing next to this Lure gives fans a 100% chance of getting a Leafeon from the evolution.

Naming an Eevee before evolving

Players can also evolve Eevee without a Mossy Lure by using the naming method. Each of the Eevee evolutions has a name that is heavily associated with it in the anime, usually based on which trainers used that Pokémon in battle. Naming an Eevee its corresponding title will result in evolution into the given Pokémon. Leafeon's evolution name is Linnea. Players can rename an Eevee to Linnea, and evolve it using 25 Eevee Candies to obtain a Leafeon. This will only work one time, so players should be sure to use a strong Eevee with high IVs.
