How to unlock cooking in Rune Factory 5

There are several benefits to cooking.

Cooking is an essential part of any stamina-based games, including Rune Factory 5. As you may know from games like Story of Seasons, cooking isn't always available from the start of the game. In fact, in many cases, you have to do some small tasks to unlock it before you can benefit from cooking dishes.

The game will give you your first Cooking Table when you visit Studio Palmo and speak with Palmo. He will gift you the item, and you can pick it up by the door on the way out of his shop. You can then use the set to cook meals using your RP points.

When you are ready to expand your cooking skills, talk to Palmo or Ryker to buy additional cooking gear like a mixer and knife. In addition to this, you can pick up two cooking licenses from Eliza at the Rigbarth Outpost once the option to buy them with SEED Points unlocks.

How to get new cooking recipes

While you can throw ingredients together to make recipes, it's much easier to learn them using Bread. By buying and using Bread, you can unlock new recipes and save your RP points. Just keep in mind that you may need to purchase more cooking equipment or unlock a license to cook a new recipe.
