Where to find the way underground when searching the Ruins in ‘The Sea of Sands’ quest in Horizon Forbidden West

Underwater and underground!

The Sea of Sands is the quest that players get when they go to search for Poseidon, one of the several missing subfunctions of GAIA. Poseidon is the subfunction that takes care of purifying water and protecting sea life. Ironically, Poseidon is held up in a flooded building in the middle of the desert.

While the map points to the center of the desert, players can head to the building directly west of the main point, which directs players to the path underground. Specifically, enter the building with the stacked hogyo, or pyramid roofing. Players will know they are heading to the right building once they can see water pouring out of it.

Aloy will then make a comment about needing to check it out, as it may be due to Poseidon. Once players have reached the Tower of Tears, climb up the ladder and enter through the tarp covering the doorway. This will start the cutscene where Aloy meets the Oseram delving party, which sets her up to head underground and underwater!
