Hogwarts Legacy is a new tale within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter by Avalanche Software. Despite this, there are many ties, easter eggs, spells, and mentions relating to the stories within the film and books. This has left fans speculating if certain characters or landmarks will appear in the game, including Albus Dumbledore.
Hogwarts Legacy - Is Dumbledore a student?
The answer is no—Albus Dumbledore does not appear in Hogwarts Legacy. Despite the fact that he was born in 1881 and was a first year in 1892 and Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the late 1800s, the headmaster does not make an appearance as a young Gryffindor student.

However, this does not mean that he won't appear as part of a DLC. Avalanche Software has not confirmed any DLC in the works, so take this with a grain of salt. Including the iconic headmaster would be a great throwback to Harry Potter lore, and many fans would be delighted to see Dumbledore in Hogwarts Legacy.
It is odd that Dumbledore is not present in Hogwarts Legacy, especially considering its place in the timeline during the 1890s. It is possible that Dumbledore could have been at Hogwarts, just not found in the game. Or the game may have taken place just before Dumbledore arrived at the legendary school.
