Horizon Forbidden West is finally out for PS4 and PS5 consoles, ushering in one of the first big-budget Sony titles of 2022. Aloy is back on another mission to save Earth from an extinction-level event. While PlayStation fans can enjoy Horizon and all the Forbidden West offers, fans on other platforms, including Xbox, ask if the game will grace their console soon.
Horizon Forbidden West will not release on Xbox consoles. As a product of Sony Interactive Entertainment, users are doubtful to see this popular action RPG even on PC for at least several years. Horizon Zero Dawn was released on PC over three years after the original title launched on PS4. The only way to play Horizon Forbidden West for the foreseeable future is with a PS4 or PS5 system.

While Horizon Forbidden West is a cross-generation title, the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West has several unique features, including Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers, and increased draw distance. Users can upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 version of the title at any time, free of charge.
