In Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Riding Maps are an essential item that speeds up your Mount speed in a given area. Mount speed in Final Fantasy XIV can be upgraded in two ways. The first is by completing the Main Story Quest in that area, which boosts your mount speed one level, and the second is with Riding Maps, which grant you the second level of speed.
Current Riding Maps for the Endwalker expansion zones and the Shadowbringers zones are available from Gemstone Traders in each area. To unlock them for purchase, you’ll need to level your Shared FATE level to at least Rank 2. Then, a riding map will be available from the area’s Gemstone Trader for 70 Bicolor Gemstones.

Obtaining Bicolor Gemstones and leveling up the Shared FATE are part of the same process. Simply complete as many FATEs in the zone you’re trying to rank up as possible. You’ll also receive 14 Gemstones for each FATE you complete at Gold level.
To get Riding Maps for the zones in older expansions, such as A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood, you’ll instead need to collect Allied Seals and Centurio Seals. Then, speak to either a Clan Centuro Member NPC or the Hunt Billmaster in your Grand Company. These will sell riding Maps for either 250 Allied Seals or 250 Centurio Seals.
To get both these currencies, you’ll need to participate in daily and weekly hunts. Alternatively, look for a hunt train to join.
If you need to check whether or not you’ve collected a Riding Map for each zone, there’s a handy shortcut. Simply navigate to the Travel section of your menu and select Mount Speed. The dialog box will tell you where you have improved Mount speed and where you’re lacking it.
