Monster Hunter Rise allows players to battle a vast catalog of beasts. It can be hard to differentiate between enemy types and keep weaknesses straight with various types and classes. Elder Dragons like the Chameleos won't go down without a fight, making learning its weaknesses integral to success, so ensure you take this dragon down with the correct information.
When fighting this beast, it's good to know what it's weak against or where to inflict that good old damage to slaughter the foe quickly. So here's Chameleos's weaknesses, resistances, and drop rates.
All Chameleos Weaknesses
Chameleos Elemental Weakness
The main weakness of the Chameleos is fire, but if you have dragon, it's a viable second option. Thunder is adequate but far less so than fire or dragon weaponry. But do not use water or ice, as these elements are ineffective and moot in battle with the Chameleos. Here are the locations where you should attack X for extra elemental damage.
Hunters using fire and dragon weapons should focus their attacks on the Head, Back, and Hind Legs of the Chameleos. Thunder weapons will inflict the same damage no matter where a player strikes.
Damage Location | Fire | Water | Thunder | Ice | Dragon |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Head | 25 | 0 | 10 | 0 | 20 |
