The announcement of any mainline Nintendo game is something to celebrate, especially at the beginning of a year. Mario Kart 9 seems to be on the horizon now, which is sure to excite gamers around the world. While details are a bit sparse, there are a few things we can sum up about the title.
As of right now, Nintendo has yet to elaborate on the title, but we do have some information from Dr. Serkan Toto an industry analyst. Sarkan Toto stated his claims of an incoming Mario Kart 9 in this article from gameindustry.biz. In the article, Toto claimed that the game is in development and will have a new twist.

We have already been given a look at games in Q1 of 2022, which include Pokemon Legends Arceus and Kirby and The Forgotten Land. Nintendo needs time to announce and advertise the title, so it likely won't be published until summer or Q3 2022 at the earliest.
This does make sense, however, as we only have a Mario Kart 8 port for Switch. It's a great time for Nintendo to launch the next entry in the series, as we have already seen other Mario titles like Party and Golf get their Switch titles.
