Final Fantasy XIV has had consistent issues getting housing for players. The current system for players to obtain housing makes it a nearly impossible experience that has frustrated the community for ages. The upcoming Housing Lottery Sale System aims to change that by letting players draw for a chance to purchase plots of land instead of spending every moment of their time spamming a purchase button. When does this new system hit the game?
The Housing Lottery Sale System will launch alongside the Final Fantasy XIV 6.1 update. While there isn't a date for the 6.1 update just yet, it's sure to come soon. With the developers' current focus being the smooth launch of Endwalker, players will have to wait just a bit longer to get a more reasonable plot purchasing system.

For now, players can complete a quest to gain access to a new housing district added with Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker—Empyreum.
- Ascending to Empyreum
- Level Requirement: Level 60+
- Location: Foundation (X: 9.9 Y: 11.8)
- NPC: Gondelimbaud
- Prerequisites: Players must complete the "Litany of Peace" main scenario quest to begin this quest.
This Ishgardian housing district offers a unique look and venue for players to enjoy. Plots won't go on sale in this district until the 6.1 update arrives, so enjoy exploring the first ward of Empyreum in the meantime. All other wards of the district will release with 6.1.
