All changes to the Arc Star grenades in the Raiders Collection Event patch Apex Legends

No more 90 damage sticks.

It’s been a little while since a grenade in Apex Legends has gotten a major rework for balance purposes, but the Raiders Collection event has brought multiple major changes to Arc Stars. Some of the changes are nerfs, while others restore old elements and make the grenade overall more balanced.

The Arc Star has been much more powerful than the other grenades for a long time. These changes are hoping to even the playing field and make the Arc Star less of an area denier. Let’s take a look.

Arc Star Changes

  • [Nerf ↓] Base Stick Damage now 10 (formerly 30)
    • Shield Damage Multiplier now 4 (formerly 3)
    • Max shield damage now 40 (formerly 90)
  • [Buff ↑] Enemy once again receives a slowness debuff on Stick
    • Reverted to the slow debuff it had before the Season 9: Legacy patch
  • [Change ↔] Slow debuff when there is no stick now has a variable duration
    • How long the debuff lasts is now correlated to how close a player was to the center of the explosion

These changes debut on Dec. 7 alongside the launch of the Raiders Collection Event.
