How to clone items quickly in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl – Updated duplication glitch (Ver. 1.1.2)

60 Master Balls in five minutes? No problem!

The grind to Elite Four in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is already notoriously difficult, and the post-endgame content even more so. Vitamins for EVs cost 9,800 Pokédollars each, Rare Candies are finite, and you only get one Master Ball in the whole game. But what if we told you that there’s a freakishly easy way to duplicate most of your items?

The item duplication glitch makes use of glitch on the Pokémon summary in the menu. If you perform all the steps correctly, you can clone up to 30 items at a time. It’s especially useful for items like the Soothe BellLucky Egg, and Master Ball, which you only get once (or once for free). If you need to level up your Pokémon fast, you can also use it to duplicate Rare Candies.

If you participate in Super Contests or reset EV levels, you can also use it to clone Berries, so you don’t have to wait for them to grow.

How to do the item duplication glitch

After ILCA patched the Ver. 1.1.1 menu glitch, YouTuber BLAINES informed people that the community has discovered a new one. It involves Flying using your Pokétch app, utilizing your Pokémon box, and opening two menus on top of one another.

This menu glitch works for both Ver. 1.1.1 and Ver 1.1.2.

Accessing the glitch takes some effort, but once you have it setup, you can duplicate every item a Pokémon in one of your boxes is holding at a time. You don't even have to access the glitch again to repeat the process. As long as you have your overlayed menu open, you can duplicate held items to infinity. Plus, this menu glitch is so powerful that it can even duplicate Pokémon.
