Bioshock Infinite was released many years ago, so it's been a while since we've had a brand new Bioshock that wasn't a remaster. According to Oops Leaks on Twitter, the fourth game in the franchise is rumored to be named Bioshock Isolation.
They also leaked a few more things, along with a logo of the title. The main point is mentioning the game's setting, which may end up taking place in an isolated dystopian city. Isolation is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and is developed by Irrational Games veterans. And a Bioshock Isolation announcement was also mentioned for Q1 2022.
Remember to take all leaks with a pinch of salt.
Previous Bioshock titles were premiered at The Game Awards, even though the rumored announcement is Q1 2022. It may not be too far off the mark that we hear or see something about the atmospheric franchise at The Game Awards 2021.
There have been a lot of rumors after Infinite's release upon the setting of the new game, as this is paramount to a new Bioshock title. Some say it will be set in space, matching the title perfectly, as nowhere is more isolated. But who knows? They may even run into a Xenomorph up there...
Regardless, if this is to be believed accurate, we'll be hearing more on the next game of the Bioshock series, Bioshock Isolation, very shortly.
