2b2t is the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, meaning anything goes within the server. If you're into some hardcore multiplayer Minecraft, I'll show you how to play and connect to the Minecraft 2b2t server.
How to connect to 2b2t server in Minecraft
Before you start your treacherous journey and plunge into the infamous anarchy server in Minecraft, you have to use the 1.19 version of Minecraft: Java Edition. Other Editions and Versions of Minecraft will not work.
If you have the 1.19 version of Minecraft: Java Edition, here are the steps to connect to 2b2t's server:
- From the menu screen, select Multiplayer.
- Click Add Server.
- On the Server Name box, type your preferred name; I chose 2b2t.
- Next, on the Server Address box, type 2b2t.org; this is 2b2t's Server IP.
- Click Done, and you should always see the server whenever you boot up the Multiplayer section of Minecraft: Java Edition, as seen in the photo below.
Now, you just have to click the 2b2t server and hit the Join Server button. You'll sit through (usually) a long queue. After waiting in line, you're able to play the game in whichever playstyle you prefer.
If you can't join the server, make sure you're using the 1.19 version of Minecraft or try to diagnose the Multiplayer error code.
How to download an older version of Minecraft: Java Edition
If you do not know how to download an older version of Minecraft: Java Edition, follow the steps below:
- Open Minecraft Launcher.
- Select Minecraft: Java Edition on the left side of the launcher and click Installations.
- If you have the latest release installed, you should see it here. Click on New Installation.
- A new window will greet you, allowing you to name your installation. Type any name you prefer.
- In the Versions tab, you must select "release 1.19"
- Use your preferred installation directory for the Game Directory tab.
- Hit Create at the lower right corner of the Minecraft Launcher.
Once done, Minecraft Launcher will download the necessary files to launch the old 1.19 version of Minecraft: Java Edition. Afterward, you will have to launch Minecraft: Java Edition 1.19 by clicking the up arrow to see the installation list, as seen in the photo below.
What is Minecraft 2b2t?
2b2t is an anarchy server— meaning anything goes, and there are no rules. This is not limited to and includes illicit and illegal activities. Other players on 2b2t will actively try to hack your account, socially engineer your login details, and use hacked clients to gain unfair advantages. You should not play on 2b2t unless you are aware of the dangers and have taken appropriate steps to protect yourself.
Additionally, 2b2t players frequently use hacked clients. Hacked clients are unofficial Minecraft clients, which are against the Minecraft Terms of Service and provide users access to cheats and hacks—giving them far more freedom than the conventional “Vanilla” client. You should also be aware that you could be breaking the Minecraft ToS by interacting with hacked clients.
In the official update post of 2b2t, the developers claimed to have updated the Anticheat software on their server. However, we still highly advise you to take care and caution once you're in the game. Even the biggest multiplayer games can't stop hackers from getting on their servers.

Does Minecraft 2b2t really have no rules?
2b2t is an anarchy server, but occasional admin interference has been noted. The administrator, Hausemaster will step in to prevent lag machines and other server-damaging exploits from being used. Additionally, illegal and hacked items are often deleted, and items on top of the Nether Roof have been removed in the past.
Beyond this though, Hausemaster’s intervention is limited. Lava casts litter the landscape as people constantly grieve and harass players. There’s spam, trolling, hacks, and obscene language. Unless you’re prepared for this, it’s best to stay far away from 2b2t.
