Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has plenty of choices for players to make when playing as the galactic outlaw, Star-Lord. As the leader of a band of misfits, decision-making falls to you. Some decisions impact conversations, while others unlock rewards if handled correctly. Players must choose whether they should pay off their fines to the Nova Corps in Chapter 9.

While it'll undoubtedly pain Rocket to hear this, players looking to unlock the Galactic Frugality Trophy/Achievement should pay off their fine. Wiping away the Guardian's debt is the only way to earn this Trophy/Achievement.

Choosing not to pay off the debt won't ruin the game's story, but those aiming to 100% the game ought to unless they want to replay this part of the game later on.
